Ra.One (also known as Ra.One) is an upcoming Hindi science-fiction superhero film directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film, which features Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, will be produced under Khan's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. According to Khan, "Ra.One" means "Random Access - Version 1.0". The film was scheduled to be released on 3 June 2011, but was later pushed back due to extensive post production work. The film's original score is composed by Oscar Winning Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer; critically acclaimed for his works like Gladiator, Pirates of the Carribean, The Dark Knight and Inception.

This film will reportedly have good stunts from Shahrukh Khan. The special effects team is being hired from Hollywood. Khan has already started working out to prepare himself to be able to perform the those stunts for the film. According to the IMDb page, Ra.One is the first Bollywood movie to feature theatrical 7.1 surround sound.

The music and background score of the film are composed by music directing duo Vishal-Shekhar while the lyrics are penned by Atahar Panchi, Vishal Dadlani and Kumaar. The film's sountrack would also see an additional two songs recorded by Senegalese American R&B singer Akon. In May 2011, it was reported that the rough version of "Chammak Challo", one of the two songs sung by Akon, was leaked on the internet. Several months later, a legal notice was sent by T-Series, who own the music rights of the film, to a jewellery brand for illegally using the unreleased song at the India International Jewellery Week 2011, asking for a compensation of 2 crore.
